Books, Magazines

We will feature a good selection of cookbooks and gourmet magazines, new and used. We would like to be able to offer book signings and demonstrations by cookbook authors. It is also important to have a comfortable place to sit and read, enjoy a cup of tea.

Taylor -- Three books I cannot live without

1. On Food and Cooking - The Science and Lore of the Kitchen (Harold McGhee) This book is a must to understand the chemistry of cooking, and even some history.

2. The Silver Palate Cookbook. Everything in this book is amazing.

3. Martha Stewart's Baking Handbook. Like "On Food and Cooking" the Handbook explains a lot about the actual chemical process of baking - it's more than just recipes. This one is dog-eared.
